What is Integration?
Integration is taking two or more selling channels – whether they be marketplace selling accounts on platforms like eBay or Etsy, webstores created with shopping cart services such as WooCommerce, or social media selling channels like an Instagram Shopping or Facebook selling account – and linking them together in terms of inventory, products, and quantities.
Integration automates a variety of day-to-day processes associated with running a multi-channel ecommerce business, including inventory monitoring and synchronization across channels.
On a practical level, this means that ExportYourStore takes your current ecommerce store and copies its products and data into a new selling channel on another platform, allowing you to sell the same items you’ve been selling on your current store on another platform of your choice without having to manually create new listings for each item.
The selling channel you’re currently selling on is called your source store, and the selling channel you’ll be copying data into is called your target store.
After you’ve integrated the two (or more) selling accounts, ExportYourStore will automatically monitor and adjust inventory between your linked channels. This means that you’ll be able to sell on both accounts simultaneously, without having to go back and adjust inventory on one selling channel when an item sells on the other.
What we’ve outline above is store integration on a most basic level; with ExportYourStore, however, store integration can be customized to include much more than inventory synchronization. You’ll be able to utilize a series of filters and rules to customize virtually every aspect of your multi-channel store integration, including item pricing, product attributes, quantity limits, and much more.
