Glossary of Terms
To help you make the most out of ExportYourStore, familiarize yourself with these terms before getting started. A good grasp on the basics will make the process of setting up your store and exporting products faster and easier, and ensure that you take full advantage of ExportYourStore’s features and functionality.
Source store
The store from where you’ll import products into ExportYourStore, and export them into new selling channels. This is the initial selling channel you’ll connect to ExportYourStore.
Target store
The selling channel into which you will import products from your source store. This store will automatically sync with your source store.
Product sets
A selection of products that you’ll be able to define and group together. Product sets help you group products together and enact rules and adjustments onto them in bulk.
Filters
Filter products based on a variety of parameters (such as product category or price range) in order to enact bulk actions onto these products.
Multichannel
Multiple selling channels. These are be selling channels from a variety of platforms, including social media, shopping carts, marketplaces, etc.
Feeds
A file that contains a list of products and their attributes in a certain format (called a template) that is used to upload and update products on a given selling channel.
Mapping categories
The process of matching product categories from the source marketplace to the corresponding categories in the target marketplace.
Multiple sources
Connecting additional source stores from where you’ll import products.
