Lesson 4: Amazon Category Mapping
In this guide, we will learn how to map our source store product categories to match them with their respective Amazon categories.
Mapping Products Categories
Begin by selecting your desired source store and Amazon target store pairing at the top of your screen.

We can see that the categories have not yet been mapped for this Shopify source and Amazon target pairing.
To begin mapping the unmapped categories, click “Categories Mapper.”

This will open a popup window showing the Shopify categories, along with the status of each category (either “Mapped” or “Not Mapped”).
We can see that the Shopify categories have not yet been mapped – the status of each category is “Not Mapped,” and there is no corresponding Amazon US category.

In order to map a category, click the “Map” button next to it.
A new popup will now open. Here, you will be able to search for a category on Amazon, or navigate through the categories until you’ve found the correct one.
Once you’ve located the Amazon category you wish to map to the given Shopify category, click “Select.”

This will define a mapping for the category, which means that every item that imports from the Shopify category we’ve just mapped, it will automatically be associated with the Amazon category we’ve defined.

Continue working through the unmapped categories until you’ve mapped all the unmapped categories.
